Chef’s meals to enjoy at home

Here at the Great Cornish Food Store, we pride ourselves on going the extra mile. Alongside our deli manager our in-store Great Cornish chefs beaver away in the kitchen making wholesome meals and puds, full of Cornish ingredients and flavour. 

If you want to give yourself an evening off, then why not treat yourself to one or two of our delightful chef-prepared Cornish “dine at home” meals? 

Served in perfect portion sizes for one (at between £4 and £4.50 a pop, for a main course), or mix and match with the whole family.  Our chefs will also prepare larger family meals, if ordered in advance. 

Every day on our deli counter, you will find:

Curry of the Week – using only the best meat, poultry and veg from Cornwall

Plus a variety of mains:

Moorland-aged Beef Lasagne, always
Vegan Cottage Pie (made with seasonal veg and lentils)
Morrocan-style lamb meatballs
Cornish Mac ‘n’ Cheese, made with rich Davidstow Mature cheddar (and regularly rotated with Cornish Cauli Cheese and other seasonal veg) 
Cornish crab, lemon and chive tart
Quiche Lorraine or Cornish Ham Quiche
Veg Quiche of the Week
Fish cakes
Scotch eggs

Add a salad or dish, including:
Braised red cabbage
Dauphinoise potatoes
Roasted Root Veg 
House slaw
Green salads, roasted salads

Warm up with our winter broth / soup of the week 

And finish off with a delicious chef made pudding:

Rich Rice Pudding – A Cornish dairy fest and deliciously creamy and finished with Rodda’s clotted cream
Individual choc pots – Quality 65% chocolate, Cornish cream and milk, St Ewe eggs, and topped with Trenance chocolate sprinkles. 
Crumble pots – With local season Cornish fruit when available

OR a slice of tart from Froggy’s in a variety of flavours!
