How we help

Cornish food and drink contributes £2 billion to Cornwall’s economy, accounting for around a third of all jobs and a quarter of all businesses. From farming to fishing, fine wines to craft gin, ancient grains to mature cheeses, we’re here for every local business looking for the know-how, tools and ideas they need to thrive, pushing what’s possible for their produce and the county we all love.

With a combined experience of over 100 years in food and drink, we’ve seen pretty much everything in the industry and know and work with a host of specialist organisations and experts – often the best in their field.

It’s this insight and access we provide direct to businesses across the agrifood sector in Cornwall, so they can grow strong, stable and primed to take on what’s next.

  • Through the Great Cornish Food Academy we’re exploding the myth about careers in food, upskilling businesses for today’s marketplace and lighting the spark for the next generation to develop the skills and ambitions that will bring them into this dynamic, vibrant and vital industry eager, excited and ready to go.
  • Through our fresh thinking, deep understanding and driven focus, we’re helping to make Cornwall the number one place for low impact food and drink.

And as always, underpinning it all we put our passion for this place, its people and their produce, into showcasing to the world what’s uniquely brilliant about food and drink from our mighty peninsula and islands.

The big picture

Everything we do is underpinned by the Cornwall & Isles of Scilly Agrifood Strategy and Action Plan, which we developed in collaboration with others in and around the food, drink, farming and fishing industries.

Launched in March 2025, it’s a 10-year strategy giving focus and direction to our work and reinforcing our commitment to building a stronger, more sustainable local food system.
